We all know that JASS is all about participants reflecting on the activities they take part in, but why not use this end of term time to reflect on the JASS programme as a whole?

We have just heard from one of our schools that's done just this. By using a series of A3 sheets with questions written on them, participants were asked to walk around the room and write down their thoughts for each question. Junior Award Scheme for Schools (JASS) Award Ceremony - May 2017

For Scottish school at least, the end of the school year is in sight, with those in other parts of the UK not far behind either. This is the time for celebration events across the curriculum, and we hear from many of our JASS Champions that they have set up specific JASS award ceremony's for their participants. As we move towards the final term of the academic year it is a good time for schools to take a look at the evidence that has been collected for JASS. We recommend that the chosen JASS accreditation officer selects a random sample of the JASS folders / e-Jass accounts to evaluate the activities undertaken and the evidence collected for these activities.
